Cadillac's V-ONE is a non-production track concept built unusually close to the V-Series.R endurance racer. It uses an identical Dallara carbon tub, bodywork produced from the same molds and the race car's naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8. Cadillac describes the project as a way to give a driver access to competition-developed performance without requiring a full race team to operate the car.
Race hardware, different mission
- The V8 and simplified hybrid system produce about 830 combined horsepower.
- A driver-controlled boost adds a stated 134 horsepower on a straight.
- Cadillac targets lap times within roughly 10 percent of the V-Series.R race car.
- The FIA-approved survival cell and applicable race-car safety practices remain part of the concept.
The design team hand-finished the surfaces, gave the car a silver-to-dark-blue painted livery and developed a bespoke cabin around race-derived controls. Cadillac is explicit that the V-ONE is not available for sale. Its more useful signal is what may travel downstream: the concept debuts a new V-Series logo, while its wheel design previews future V-Series production wheels.
