01 / Requirements
- Every regular service
- At 5,000 miles/6 months, check the driver mat installation, specified fluid levels/condition and sealed components for leaks. Follow the owner manual for ongoing checks. A low fluid level needs its cause investigated.
- Chassis and cooling inspections
- At 15,000 miles/18 months inspect ball joints/dust covers, drive-shaft boots, steering gear/linkage/boots, cooling levels and radiator/condenser/intercooler condition. Primarily dirt/dust use adds the listed joints, boots and linkage checks at 5,000-mile/6-month visits. A qualified technician repairs defects.
- Special-use fasteners
- At 5,000-mile/6-month visits, primarily dirt/dust or towing/car-top-carrier/heavy-load use requires the specified chassis/body fastener checks and tightening. Use the exact service torques; this schedule does not establish towing permission.
