Cabin air filter
Check reduced ventilation airflow and inspect the cabin filter where fitted. Follow the year-specific instructions for access and installation direction.
IntervalIf equipped with air conditioning: replace every 30,000 mi or 2 years, whichever comes first. Replace at 15,000 mi for mainly high-soot urban driving, or earlier if climate-control airflow decreases.Verified
01 / Requirements
- Airflow direction
- Confirm that the car has this filter, then match its frame and airflow markings. Do not force glovebox stops or electrical connectors.
- Schedule applicability
- Use the severe schedule when driving mainly on trips under 5 miles (under 10 miles in freezing weather), above 90°F/32°C, in extensive idling or stop-and-go use, with a roof rack or on mountain roads, or on muddy, dusty or de-iced roads. Occasional severe use follows the normal schedule. U.S. schedules only.
